Tim McGraw Turns Faith Hill Happy Birthday Post Into A Pro-Choice Political Debate: “Fight For Their Rights Right Alongside Them”

Nothing says “happy birthday” like a political argument in the comments section, am I right?

Faith Hill celebrated her 57th birthday over the weekend, and her husband, fellow country music singer Tim McGraw, took to Instagram to wish her a happy birthday. His post praised the “Mississippi girl” for being the family’s rock, and a strong role model for their 3 girls, Gracie, Audrey and Maggie.

But then he ended the post with what was essentially a political endorsement for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, taking the commonly-touted left-wing position that women aren’t in charge of their lives and their rights are under attack. That position is, no doubt, a hot topic during this upcoming election.

Tim’s post said:

“Happy birthday to this remarkable woman! My beautiful, strong, crazy, badass wife!!!! I love my girl with everything that I am and could ever hope to be!

She is our beacon, our rock, our strength. The girls and I are so very blessed! Our girls could not have a better role model in their lives as how to be an incredibly strong woman. And how to believe in themselves and be in charge of their lives (every aspect of their lives)!

Let’s honor the women in our lives with respect and make sure that we fight for their rights right alongside them.”

And naturally, it didn’t take long for the birthday post to ignite a political debate in the comments to the tune of over 4,000 comments. Let’s just say the average Tim McGraw Instagram post only garners a few hundred or so comments so if you think I’m reading a little too much into the caption, guess again.

Like the rest of country right now, the comments were pretty divided:

Imagine people being upset about a man defending the rights of girls and women.

Women’s Rights are not going away and they aren’t under attack.

Love a man that supports his wife and daughters and their rights.

It’s a good thing your wife’s biological mother didn’t feel the same as you and chose to value her.

Thank you Tim! We must protect woman’s rights!

Yes! I pray we get women’s right back for my daughter and granddaughters.

This is what real men look like. Those who honor and respect.

No rights are being taken away. My goodness use your brain.

I’m trying to figure out what rights we don’t have. Last time I checked, women had the same rights as everyone else.

“Yes, please, stand with us women as we face men entering our bathrooms, biological men STEALING sports scholarships from WOMEN, the unborn, and protect our daughters, granddaughters and nieces from boys pretending to be girls to access their bathrooms and locker rooms at school.

Fight for the rights of girls in the womb! They are the least of these.

I have been asking- Where are the men? Here is one who understands what a real man should be saying and is standing up for women.

He supports his wife and girls right to choose what is best for them.

Indeed you and your family are role models of the rights for women not having to fear dying in a parking lot.

Tim, thank you for standing by women when our rights are being stolen.

Women’s rights are protecting women sports! Protecting women’s safe spaces! And protecting the RIGHT TO LIFE OF THE UNBORN.

Yep killing babies is the most important thing is a woman’s life.

Thank you, Tim, for your steadfast support of women’s rights. Ignore the naysayers.

What rights are Faith and your girls being denied?? I don’t get you.

Oh boy, this sounds like a vote for Kamala…you’ve got to be kidding me.

And it just goes on and on and on like that…

Of course, it’s no secret that Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have been longtime Democrats, and Tim even performed at Joe Biden’s inauguration in 2021. He’s has stated on more than one occasion that a woman’s right to choose is a primary issue for him (even though Democrats have been in the White House for 12 of the last 16 years).

But if you didn’t know, Faith Hill herself was adopted just a few days after birth because her birth mother was teenager at the time who had gotten pregnant out of wed-lock. Her birth parents later wed and had a son, her biological brother. In a Good Housekeeping interview, she once said:

“I have a lot of respect for my birth mother and no feelings of anger or any of that. I know she must have had a lot of love for me to want to give me what she felt was a better chance.”

And in 2006, she told Glamour:

“I’m thankful there are people out there who do adopt! I have a wonderful family: My parents are churchgoing, salt-of-the-earth Southern people. They gave me a lot of love and are so unaffected by fame. Someone always says to my mom, ‘Wow, I bet you’re really proud of your daughter.’ And she replies, ‘Yes—I’m proud of all my children.'”

So there’s that…

Happy birthday, Faith.
