These aren’t the bears that the New York Jets thought they’d need to worry about.
It appears that Jets defensive star Sauce Gardner is getting to know some of his New Jersey neighbors – and spoiler alert, it’s a family of bears. He’s been keeping an eye on them as of late with security cameras situated outside his home, and the corner back is now getting concerned that the bruins might be out to get him.
So he took to social media to ask for advice… which is always a dangerous idea:
“The family of bears just walked to my house once again and I think they’re trying to jump me. Do I call a truce with them and just start feeding them and taking care of them?”
The answer to that question is a big, “HELL NO,” since feeding bears is illegal. Various wildlife services make it known that feeding bruins is against the law, and anyone who does it can be hit misdemeanor charges and multi-thousand-dollar fines.
Plus, it looks like the mother and her five cubs (impressive!) in this clip are just passing through more than anything:

Were you perhaps wondering about the advice that social media responded with?
If so, that worked out great. Because I went ahead and included some of the helpful replies that social media users shot back towards Sauce Gardner’s question about this family of bears:
Never feed them my friend

Yeah man it’s a little known fact you can just take a jar of honey over to them and become besties

That would be a total New York Jets thing, wouldn’t it?
Oh, and out of all the social media responses below the post, this one was the best, and it wasn’t even close:
Call Aaron Rodgers
He owns the Bears 👍🏻
