That’s what you call the best moment of your life quickly transforming into one of the worst moments of your life.
Jason Kelce was making the most of his return to Philadelphia since retiring as an Eagle last offseason. The former footballer and current podcaster was technically at the game for work, now that he’s a part of ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcasting team.
But he borrowed some showmanship from his football playing days to make an official entrance in Philly:

As you can see, Kelce had a warm welcome back to the “City of Brotherly Love.” The future Hall of Fame center was even seen walking around at the Eagles tailgate, chatting with fans and chugging beers long before the game was set to begin.
Though it really became his moment when he was up on stage celebrating with some of Philadelphia’s finest. That included a shirtless man with the Philadelphia Phillies mascot – the Philly Phanatic – tattooed on his chest. And the big celebratory chest bump that happened between Kelce and that shirtless man was electric, but it sadly ended in tragedy.
A sharp-eyed X user was live tweeting posting the whole thing as it happened:

You read something like that and you just hope that it isn’t true.
But when you fire up the tape, it sure looks like the shirtless Philly Fan went down with a catastrophic knee injury directly after he and Kelce lined up in some sort of Oklahoma Drill and chest-bumped one another at center stage. File this under things you really hate to see:

Sheesh… yeah that guy is going on the injured reserve for sure.
Thoughts and prayers that guy’s way for a speedy recovery, especially considering it didn’t look like many people on stage noticed or cared that he’ll now face a surgery and months of rehab to get back into chest-bumping-form.
But… according to him, it was worth it. Get well soon, bud.
