Deion’s Other Son Shilo Sanders Played A Laughably Dirty First Half Of Football To Kick Off Colorado’s Season

Given the bad karma and disaster vibes the Colorado Buffaloes have put out into the ether, it comes as little surprise they’re struggling to beat FCS opponent North Dakota State in Thursday’s season opener.

Shilo Sanders is one of the few decent Colorado defensive players, whose unit was otherwise a sieve last season and is otherwise incapable of stopping NDSU, though to be fair to the Bison, they’ve won nine national championships at the FCS level. Anyway, point is, Shilo didn’t exactly play with the poise, discipline, and sheer brilliance his coach and father once did. In fact, the Buffaloes squandered a mostly-brilliant first half from Shilo’s bro, Colorado quarterback/legit NFL prospect Shedeur, with another poor defensive effort.

It’s one thing to get beat straight-up by the man across from you. It’s another to be dirty as f**k and classless in the process.

Amazingly, the favorable home refs didn’t whistle Shilo for his first two late hits. Only the most egregious third one apparently merited a flag.

Many viewers took notice and didn’t like what they were seeing from Shilo, even suggesting he doesn’t deserve a spot on the team. Or they just outright laughed at him.

Classlessness seems par for the course for this Colorado team. They clearly don’t care about optics. That’s why Deion turns down questions from certain reporters at the podium. That’s why Travis Hunter calls out his own offensive line for their inability to block.

Unless another NFL-caliber QB commits to play for Coach Prime in Boulder, this program feels destined for collapse sooner rather than later.

I was on the Colorado bandwagon at the beginning of last season when they got off to a hot start. However, they ultimately fell apart because they didn’t have enough talent to hang with the big boys. Then there was a pervading, toxic vibe the more you heard about reports that came out from the program and how Deion runs the operation.

Shilo Sanders is playing like a jacka**. Deion is acting like one in his role as a head coach. Shedeur is indeed the real deal as a superstar-caliber player, but his blatant superiority complex and other antics are most likely going to alienate an NFL locker room when he does land in the pros. Whether they win or lose tonight, Shilo’s late hits epitomize the Colorado Buffaloes’ paper tiger swagger.
