Cowboys QB Dak Prescott Snuck Song Titles From Post Malone’s New Album Into His Press Conference

It’s only right that Post Malone got a little help from a Cowboy to officially kick off his country music era.

The 29-year-old musician is a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys, so I’m sure this little project was a nice cherry on top of his big country music release day. Post Malone officially dropped F-1 Trillion today, and the early reviews have been uberly positive. It seems as though Post’s crossover to country has been a success – and he even dropped an additional nine surprise songs not long after the standard version of the album was released.

And speaking of surprise songs, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott managed to work some of the F-1 Trillion’s 18-song track list seamlessly into a recent press conference, and it was impressive. We’ve seen athletes do things like this before (I think The Tonight Show might have done it first), but this might be the first time this gag has been carried out to help promote an album drop.

Prescott stood at the podium and tried his best to work the song title’s into his answers without the media noticing. He managed to fit a number of them in as he addressed “ankle-gate,” which was a name given to a time of worry this summer when Dak was spotted on vacation in a walking boot.

I went ahead and capitalized and put quote marks around the songs in his answer:

“I think it ‘Goes Without Saying’ that I’m fine. Maybe the ‘Wrong Ones’ started the whole ankle-gate or something as this and that. I told you guys before, I don’t want to necessarily ‘Nosedive’ back into what happened in the offseason… I’m fine there’s no ankle-gate or anything like that. And honestly, I’ve got a ‘Guy For That.'”

Magnificent. Chef’s kiss. No notes at all.

At the end of the presser, Dak Prescott was 8 for 18 (there’s a really easy joke right there) on sneaking F-1 Trillion songs into his answers. It appears that none of the media members caught on, even with Dak laughing a bit and “breaking” towards the end of the press conference.
