The legend of Charley Hull continues.
There’s no telling how many people have discovered their new favorite LPGA Tour golfer in the past couple of months. It all started when the 28-year-old pro golfer was spotted ripping a cigarette while signing autographs at the Women’s U.S. Open.
When this video hit the internet, she was immediately deemed “The Female John Daly” by her newly found fan group:

Since that moment, the 8th-ranked women’s golfer in the world has only continued to bring in droves of fans. How has she done that? Well, it’s actually pretty simple, and most of it revolves around her smoking. Just to get you caught up, here’s a list of Hull’s greatest hits in the past couple of months:
-Smoked a cigarette DURING the U.S. Open
-Announced that’s she actually only ripping darts to help her stop vaping
Now that is how you grow a fanbase. Hull has already done plenty to cement herself as one of the most interesting golfers on the planet. And in a recent press conference, the pro golfer proved once again that she’s the “John Daly of the LPGA.”
Some call her “Jane Daly.”
Charley let the media know that she hadn’t seen the entirety of the golf course before she started the tournament because she went to a nearby pub to watch a soccer match when she was supposed to be playing her practice round.
The tournament happening now is played with a partner, and Hull and fellow LPGA member Georgia Hall fired a 66 together after not seeing all of the golf course:
“It’s actually quite good because I actually haven’t played the front nine of the golf course yet because it was so busy and I wanted to watch the England game. So I literally just said, ‘Ads, let’s just go the pub instead.'”
Charley Hull didn’t play a practice round for the LPGA event this week because she wanted to watch the England match instead:
“I literally just said, Ads, let’s go to the pub instead.”

She’s incredible.
Charley Hull has had a meteoric rise as of late, and she deserves every bit of the attention that’s coming her way. At this point, basically anything she does easily wins people over, and skipping out on practice to go drink and watch sports had social media raving:
