Looking to get into politics after he steps away from racing?
Bubba Wallace is obviously one of the more polarizing NASCAR Cup Series drivers, which means he would fit right in up there in DC where nobody can agree on anything.
Well the driver of the #23 car for 23XI Racing was at the White House today, posting a photo from behind the podium in the White House press briefing room, joking that he would be taking his first question from (the legendary) NASCAR reporter for Fox Sports, Bob Pockrass:
First question goes to @bobpockrass… pic.twitter.com/k5M1M9ruJR

And of course, the internet had plenty to say about Wallace appearing at the White House:
Can confirm lots of lights
— Bubba Wallace (@BubbaWallace) June 21, 2024
(If you follow Pockrass, you know that asking him if a track has lights is a running bit after he was constantly asked the question about various tracks).
Some people were ready to put him on the ballot:
Just my two cents 🌝

Wallace / Hamlin, ’28

Wow, a press secretary that will actually answer questions!

I finally have someone I can vote for this election!

Bubba would make a much better President, than Biden.
— PasteyJ (@PasteyJ) June 21, 2024
And others had more important questions for him:
Can we make the Daytona 500 day a federal holiday? And the day after?
— PlushVader (@PlushVader) June 21, 2024
What’s on Page 47 in the Book of Secrets?
— tyler leaman (@TylerLeaman_) June 21, 2024
Bubba do you like the fish fillet from McDonald’s?
— BradKFan4Ever (@racingmaniac48) June 21, 2024
But of course, like any politician, he also had his fair share of critics:
Shocking! Race baiter Bubba Smollett goes to DC with this admin. Makes sense.

You would wreck that too
— RedRiver67 (@RedRiver67) June 21, 2024
Well you got the lying part down bud.

Of course Bubba already knows this, but in politics, you can’t please everybody.
