Baltimore Ravens Coach John Harbaugh Is Hoping That Travis Kelce Marries Taylor Swift & Retires: “I Would Encourage That”

Hoping to get Travis Kelce off the field.

John Harbaugh, the head coach for the Baltimore Ravens, did not hold his tongue when it came to his wish for the Chiefs tight end to leave the league. While many coaches would love to see stellar players like Kelce hang up their jerseys, Harbaugh noted he hopes Kelce throws in the towel by tying the knot.

His whirlwind relationship with the famed Taylor Swift took the NFL by storm last year and continues to be at the forefront of Swifties’ minds. Harbaugh is a huge fan of the relationship, partially because his daughter is a Swiftie and partly because he sees the two settling down as a way for one of the best players in the AFC to retire.

“I hope they get married. I hope they have a bunch of kids. Heck, maybe he’ll get ready to retire here pretty soon to pursue that family aspect of his life. I would encourage that.”

Harbaugh told US Weekly in a recent interview.

While he joked about Kelce hanging up his number from that statement, he also noted that he was rooting for the two to make it and thought their relationship was “the coolest thing ever.” While many NFL fans have polarizing thoughts on the press around Swift at games, you have to admit her attendance is turning many people into NFL fans, and that is pretty neat.

Aside from his thoughts on Kelce marrying Swift and leaving the NFL, he thinks that Swift is a very talented performer, praising her in the interview.

“I couldn’t say I’m a Taylor Swift fan because I don’t know enough of the songs, but the songs I’ve heard from my daughter over the years, I like ‘em. I think they’re excellent. I think she’s so talented. When you watch her perform, oh my god, it’s sick how talented she is.”

While Harbaugh’s wish for Kelce to retire might not happen this season, he might be able to snag a picture with Swift for his daughter during the Ravens’ opening game against the Chiefs in Kansas City come September.

Hopefully, Harbaugh doesn’t have “Karma” coming for his wish for Kelce to retire this season…might fuel a fire on the field.
