These bear cub triplets put the “triple” in triple threat.
They don’t mean any harm, but they sure do mean a lot of mischief, as showcased in this video below out of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The social media account for a popular radio station there got sent this footage of bear cub triplets up to no good, and it’s priceless (I don’t throw that word around lightly).
In the clip, the person videoing the incident pulls up to a snowy building in the Steam Boat springs area. Wandering around the roadway was a set of bear cub siblings, of which two are visible throughout most of the footage.
With no hesitation, the bear cubs approach the vehicle and quickly get to work, and by “get to work,” I mean they treated the car like a jungle gym. One of the cubs climbed right up on the hood of the car, while one of the others walked over to the driver’s side window and stood up to peer inside.
It’s a chaotic situation, and became even more so when the cub on the front of the vehicle tried to scale the steep, slippery front windshield. After a couple of attempts of trying and failing, it finally gave up, but it was momentarily determined to get to the “top of the mountain.”
Shoutout to the person inside the car for keeping their cool and allowing the cubs to climb all over their vehicle (hopefully there weren’t any scratch marks). Who knew that an SUV could so easily double as a playground for wild animals?
You can view the hilarious clip below, which was captioned with this message from the Steamboat station:
“We have a new bear video that will really catch you by surprise. These are the triplets that have been over by the ski area. Don Jesús Martínez spotted them near Burgess Creek today.
Wait until you see what they did! This is why we always remind residents here in Steamboat Springs to lock your car doors.”
