Last week, Rashee Rice was involved in a massive six-car crash on a Dallas interstate, making for quite a confusing story when he was nowhere to be found.
The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, who grew up in Texas and is an SMU football alum, was under investigation for potential involvement with a major car accident involving six cars, leaving two people needing medical attention on the highway, with others later going to the hospital.
After the incident, police could not locate Rice, which turned into an issue given that one vehicle was registered or leased to him.

At the time, police were unsure if he was behind the wheel or even in the car, but they needed to know if he was involved, which was important as it would be deemed a potential hit-and-run. Shortly after news broke of the wreck, The Dallas Morning News started the play-by-play coverage of the story. Multiple videos surfaced of the wreck from a dash cam, which showed the cars zooming on the interstate and slamming into other vehicles.
Right after the wreck, the footage shows multiple men fleeing the scene of the crime.
Today, in a press conference, Royce West, Rice’s attorney, noted that he was indeed driving the Lamborghini involved in the accident.

Rice met with Dallas police yesterday, Wednesday, and took “full responsibility for the accident” on Saturday that involved his leased Lamborghini and a Corvette that he owns.
“Today I met with Dallas PD investigators regarding Saturday’s accident. I take full responsibility for my part in this matter and will continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities. I sincerely apologize to everyone impacted in Saturday’s accident.”
He admitted to the reckless driving on social media. Reckless driving, street racing, fleeing the scene, we don’t know if alcohol was involved since he ran… all not good for the Chiefs’ young receiver.
The NFL and the Chiefs continue to monitor the situation as more information is revealed.
