Real Koe Wetzel fans know.

Valentine’s Day is the day for celebrating love. But for those who often wallow in sad country music on this day (but it’s really every day, let’s not kid ourselves), the REAL holiday of the month is right around the corner.

February 14th marks fourteen days till February 28th, the track title to a fan favorite Koe Wetzel song, “February 28th, 2016.” We all know the legendary story of the song which is when Koe was arrested for public intoxication in Stephenville, Texas, and wound up spending a few nights in jail.

Yes, now is an appropriate time to insert everyone’s favorite line of the song.

“Who is sober enough to take me to Taco Bell?”

In years past, Koe has taken to social media reminding fans to “stay safe out there” on the song’s anniversary, but I do believe this is the first time we are getting a countdown for Koe Wetzel’s day.

“SONG OF THE DAY: “LOVE (FEAT. PARKER MCCOLLUM). ” THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS. 14 DAYS.”

He posted on social media today with another one of his fan-favorite collaborations, “Love,” with Parker McCollum playing in the background. While many think that this is just a post hyping-up hit single, I believe that this could be a disguise for something larger in the works.

As Koe is one of the best in the game for writing crippling sad songs, it seems off-brand to post “Love” on Valentine’s Day. Yes, the song is still sad and is promoting another one of Koe’s anthems. This also seems like he could be teasing new music.

Koe Wetzel’s music page added a pre-save link to their bio, leading some fans to think he is teasing new music. Some folks in the comments believe that Koe might be teasing a new collaboration with Parker McCollum.

We do know that Koe has been diligently working in the studio on a new project and hopes that KW6 will drop this year. So, is he teasing the first single of this new project? We will find out in fourteen days.

Regardless, the countdown is on for February 28th.
