On the heels of winning her first-ever Grammy, Lainey Wilson has new music on the way.
She just announced what is seemingly the first single from her (unofficially announced) next studio album called “Country’s Cool Again” will be out everywhere next Friday, February 16th.
Lainey previously teased an acoustic version of the song on Instagram, and she says it’s an ode to her upbringing and how it ultimately led her to a career singing country music:
“I’m so excited to announce my brand-new song, ‘Country’s Cool Again.’ This past year has been a wild ride and truly shown me that Country music is really loving me back. This track is an ode to my upbringing and the story of my journey in this industry – where I have been and where I am now.
I’m feeling all the love from Country music fans, and I can’t wait to hear everyone singing this song back to me while we’re out on the road this year.”
“Country’s Cool Again” was co-written by Lainey along with Trannie Anderson and Dallas Wilson (the trio who wrote her hit “Heart Like A Truck”), along with Wilson’s band leader Aslan Freeman, and was produced by Jay Joyce:
In addition to an extensive headlining tour set to kick off in Nashville this May, Lainey will be featured in a Super Bowl commercial this Sunday, which she starred in alongside LL Cool J:
