Shane Smith & The Saints Announce First Studio Album In Five Years, ‘Norther’

Shane Smith & the Saints just announced a new album called Norther is on the way in 2024.

It’s the band’s fourth studio album and their first since 2019’s beloved Hail Mary, an album that put them on the map, so to speak, and remains a fan-favorite to this day. They did also release a live album, Live from the Desert, in 2021.

They’ve put out singles here and there over the years, like “Hummingbird” and “The Greys Between,” which will be featured on the new tracklist, in addition to 11 other tracks like “Fire In The Ocean” that they played in the Season 5 opening of Yellowstone.

Produced by Beau Bedford (who has worked with the likes of Paul Cauthen and Tanner Usrey), the sound of this project will reflect the five-piece Texas country music outfits eclectic blend of country, Southern rock and folk.

In its current form, frontman and songwriter Shane Smith leads the attack and is backed by some of the best musicians in the genre with the iconic Bennett Brown sawing fiddle, Dustin Schaefer slinging lead guitar, Chase Satterwhite keeping rhythm on bass, and Zach Stover rounding out the crew on drums.

One of the premiere bands in the independent country scene, Norther is certainly one to have on your radar for next year and stands to be another incredible project from Shane Smith & the Saints.

They also released another single from the project today, a beautiful ballad called “Adeline” which you can hear below.
