One Nashville restaurant is thankful for the Jelly Roll effect this Thanksgiving.
It all started yesterday when the rapper-turned-country star and CMA New Artist of the Year made a desperate plea for help after dropping the ball ahead of Thanksgiving dinner:
“Alright, y’all, I f*cked up and I need your help. I’m a husband and I did what husbands do, I told my wife I’d take care of the dressing because I wanted it from my favorite restaurant. Then, I waited until the day before Thanksgiving to call for the dressing. I can’t get nobody on the phone for the dressing.
We need help. PLEASE. If you have a contact at Barr’s Music City Soul Food in Nashville, it’s the best dressing ever. Tell that lady I will give her $1,000 for two pans of Barr’s Music City Soul Food dressing for my family on Thanksgiving.”

I mean, we’ve all been there.
Well Jelly Roll’s panic call for help made it to the restaurant, and he soon had his two pans of dressing from Barr’s Music City Soul Food.
Of course the high words of praise for their dressing from Jelly Roll also brought a lot of new attention to Barr’s Music City Soul Food on the day before Thanksgiving.
And the family behind the famous Nashville restaurant is thankful for the attention that Jelly Roll has brought to their family business.

Bishop Frederick Barr also posted a video from the restaurant of the local news set up to capture Jelly Roll coming to Barr’s to pick up his two pans of their famous dressing:

The restaurant said they had received over 200 calls from all over the country after Jelly Roll sent out his call for help, which is no doubt going to make this one of the most popular restaurants in Nashville in the coming days.
Unfortunately Jelly Roll couldn’t come get the dressing himself because he was in the studio, but he did send a message to the restaurant thanking them for coming through and saving Thanksgiving.
Now I’ve just got to figure out how to get into Barr’s to try it for myself, because I have a feeling the lines are going to be out the door for awhile.
