Kelsea Ballerini thought she had the last word in the divorce… until now.
The messy, and I mean MESSY, divorce between Kelsea Ballerini and Morgan Evans continues to play out in public. While Ballerini has moved on with Chase Stokes as her new beau, she has been getting loads of play time with her “Penthouse (Healed Version),” which talks about finally moving on.
“I kissed someone new last night But now I don’t care where you’re sleeping, baby…”
While Evans first wrote his song addressing the divorce, “Over For You,” which led Ballerini to create her ditty, and then go on a media tour or sorts which included a candid conversation on the popular Call Her Daddy podcast with Alex Cooper. But now, Evans is back with a track he debuted in Australia, in short, telling Ballerini to keep his name out of her mouth.
“What Does That Say About You?” debuted acoustically while playing at the Sydney Opera House.
“I’d like to dedicate this one to anyone with an ex that won’t stop talking sh*t about them.”
Obviously, we know who he is referring to… but if you think little dig was pointed, wait until you hear the lyrics.
“For you, I hung the moon Then we both know what happened So, say what you want about me If that’s what you need to do Say all the things we said we would keep Just between me and you. Throw some dirt on my name. Make it hurt; take a swing Go ahead and bend the truth Say what you want about me But, baby, what does that say about you?”
There are always two sides to every story, and it will always be a “he said/she said” kind of thing, but Morgan is once again sharing his side of the story. I wonder if we can expect a new song or statement from Ballerini once she hears this little ditty… seems like she wants to have the last word on this.
