That was fast…
Morgan Wallen officially scored his 10th career #1 single at country radio with “Thinkin’ Bout Me,” from his behemoth of a 36-song studio album One Thing At A Time.
According to radio insider Chris Owen, it took just nine weeks to reach the top spot once it was within the Top 30.
It’s on top of the Billboard Country Airplay chart this week, which is one of two charts labels use to officially track their songs performance (along with Mediabase):
This chart-topper comes on the heels of Morgan’s hit “Last Night” also reaching #1 in May.
Written by John Byron, Ashley Gorley, Taylor Phillips and Charlie Handsome, “Thinkin’ Bout Me” is a pretty simple song that finds Morgan teasing a former flame about how, even though she’s seemingly moved on and found a new guy, his memory is always somewhere in the back of her mind.
It’s obviously a fan-favorite from Morgan’s album, and it will be interesting to see what he picks to send next, because he’s put out six singles so far out of the 36 in-total.
And if I had a say so, I would strongly consider sending the duet with Eric Church, “Man Made A Bar,” to country radio next… it’s still one of my favorites from the album.
