Kolton Moore & the Clever Few are back with their fourth single of 2023 thus far, and it is great to have them releasing new music again.

The latest single from the East Texas country rock outfit, “Your Alpine” is an imagery filled and affectionately penned love song that flows sonically between lyric-heavy verses and guitar slinging rock and roll instrumentals, building on The Clever Few’s versatile sound and rock solid catalog.

Go ahead and give it a listen:

With a fervent fan base still intact from their early days, Kolton Moore & the Clever Few were a staple on the Texas scene between 2012 and 2016, garnering a massive, young following with their electric live shows and the spectacular music throughout the two full length albums and two EPs released during that timespan.

As can happen with any band, a time came where everyone had to decide if they wanted to keep growing the band or take a different path, and unfortunately the result was a five year touring hiatus with intermittent and infrequent new music. Now the band is back together, playing shows on occasion, and releasing new music consistently for the first time in over two years. And it’s been some of their best music to date, too.

But if you aren’t familiar with their music, especially from the early days, you’re really missing out. Composed of frontman Kolton Moore, guitar slinger Ryan Wilcox, Aaron Dowd on drums, Ricky Harris keeping tempo on the bass, and Ace Crayton on piano/keyboard, Kolton Moore & the Clever Few is an awesome cast of musicians, and it shows in their music.

Check out the other singles they have released this year thus far, and hopefully you can appreciate the Kolton Moore & the Clever Few renaissance we are witnessing as much as I am. These guys are awesome.
