We all know that if you see an alligator, you should stay as far away as possible from that son of a gun, because it has the ability to rip you to shreds.
Needless to say, I’ve seen way too many videos of people getting drug into a swamp by gators and not coming back up to know that I don’t need that $5 golf ball I hit into the edge of the pond at the golf course at the beach.
But despite all the warnings out there, here’s yet another video that will put things in perspective for you.
In this wild video, you can see a MASSIVE alligator chomping down on something.
However, it appears to start gagging, and it opens its mouth wide. And what’s inside?
A whole chicken.
Before the gator completely throws the chicken back up, it swallows it back in.
This video is a perfect example of how much an alligator can consume in only one bite, as it was able to completely swallow a chicken whole.
And of course, this just furthered my fear of alligators even more, and you best believe I’ll be keeping my distance from any saltwater ponds and swamps in the near future.
