You think Ole Miss fans were excited about that win yesterday?

The Rebels took on the LSU Tigers yesterday in what turned out to be a shootout between the two heavyweight SEC teams that both came into the day at 3-1.

The game got heated at times, with emotions boiling over after an LSU touchdown was upheld in the middle of the fourth quarter, despite video appearing to show the receiver bobbling the ball before he got his feet down inbounds.

Ole Miss fans began throwing beer cans onto the field at LSU players, and the players themselves were getting chippy after the blown call put the Tigers up 49-40 over the Rebels.

But after Ole Miss answered with a 1-yard touchdown run from quarterback Jaxson Dart to bring the game to within 2, they were able to get LSU off the field for one final chance to win the game.

And despite only needing a field goal to win, Ole Miss and coach Lane Kiffin weren’t happy with just sneaking by, and instead a 13-yard touchdown pass with 39 seconds left in the game followed by a successful two-point conversion gave the Rebels a 55-49 win over their conference rivals.

As the clock hit zero, excited fans began to rush out of the stands to storm the field, despite the best efforts of one security guard in particular, who absolutely leveled a sorority girl running out onto the field to celebrate.

But one guy managed to evade Paul Blart and scale the goalpost to celebrate the win – and then he made the most of it.

The fan slid across the crossbar before climbing up the arm of the goalpost, where he began to…passionately kiss the post.

The man eventually backflipped off the goalpost and back onto the field below…where he not only failed to stick the landing, but was also promptly met by police to escort him off the field.

I hope he at least got the goalpost’s number while he was up there.
