How is it that the world’s great athletes are always good at something else other than their professional sport?

Mikaela Shiffrin is world class skier who has won two Olympic gold medals, and also holds the record in alpine skiing for most World Cup wins in the history of the sport, and that’s including both the men and women categories.

All of that to say that she’s no stranger to being in the spotlight, which is probably explains why she looked so comfortable performing with Dierks Bentley on stage in St. Louis, Missouri.

The US Ski Team recently held a fundraiser in the “Gateway to the West,” which is an event they hold on an annual basis (and was first reported on by Brobible).

Country music star Dierks Bentley was in attendance, presumably to help out with the fundraiser, and was playing up on stage when he brought the decorated Olympian up to sing with him.

Bentley has been very successful throughout his country career, but he had to be a little nervous too sharing the stage with someone who’s taken home a couple of gold medals.

The pair rocked the venue with a performance of Bentley’s “I’ll Be The Moon,” which was a hit song from his 2016 album Black. On the project, Dierks actually sang the duet with Maren Morris, who recently announced that she was leaving country music.

Shoutout to Shiffrin for absolutely killing her role in the song, and Dierks will have to keep her in mind anytime he is in need of someone to come in and duet with him.

The Olympic skier was pretty proud of herself, and also felt very fortunate that the fundraiser ended up being so successful. She shared the video on her YouTube channel with the caption:

“Sang with Dierks Bentley Saturday night at our annual U.S. Ski Team St. Louis fundraiser and raised over $1M (a record!) to benefit ALL sports and disciplines.

Big thanks to the St. Louis community for showing up, once again…”

And if their rendition of the song made you want to listen to the original version with Bentley and Morris, we’ve got you covered:
