Nolan Taylor Releases “Double Life (Live)” On The Heels Of New Record Deal

Just one week after the release of “Wicked Ways,” Nolan Taylor is back with another new single, “Double Life (Live),” and some massive news, too.

Fans and industry figures alike have clearly been taking to his honest lyricism and authenticity like wildfire of late, and in a massive move for his career, Taylor has inked a deal with Atlantic Records. With last week’s “Wicked Ways” being the artist’s true major label debut single, “Double Life (Live)” comes shortly after to bolster Taylor’s start with Atlantic Records.

Proving to be prolific in his recording and releasing, Taylor’s latest single is a special live version of his 2020 track and fan favorite “Double Life.” Stripped back and intimate, “Double Life (Live)” showcases Taylor’s impressively raw and gritty vocal prowess, and while these lyrics have been out in the world for a few years, this version illuminates his powerful songwriting and further solidifies Taylor’s rising presence.

Based out of Cincinnati, OH, Taylor recorded “Double Life (Live)” in his living room with the help of Musical Moonshine media and bandmate Tommy Culley on the piano.

“‘Double Life’ is actually about someone I used to play music with. He and a married lady were in a bit of a relationship, and she would come around to watch us play.

I could tell how much he really loved her but obviously that was a messy situation and it dissolved after a little while, but I thought it was a pretty love song.

It’s a fun one for me to play and I absolutely love to sing it. I think my piano version is my favorite one yet.”

The Atlantic Records also offered some high praise for Taylor from the company’s senior VP Ian Cripps:

“Nolan Taylor is an incredible songwriter with a powerful voice. His unique ability to tell stories through his music immediately drew us in.

We are extremely excited to welcome him to the Atlantic family.”

It’s always a great thing seeing the good guys win.

Check out Taylor’s Atlantic Records debut “Wicked Ways,” too.

And with numerous dates scheduled throughout the fall, there are plenty of opportunities to catch Taylor live.

I highly suggest doing so, because with music like he’s been releasing lately and the momentum of his new deal behind him, Nolan Taylor is bound to blow up any time now.

Shows are already selling out, too.
