The War and Treaty have some absolutely powerhouse vocals, and they sound perfect on “Hey Driver.”

The incredible husband and wife duo consisting of Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter were featured on Zach Bryan’s just-released self-titled album, and it’s quickly become one of my favorites (and not just for the “Carolina” lyric, though they definitely get extra points for that).

“Hey Driver” has a pretty simple message, where they sing about going home to a place where “they still put sugar in their iced tea,” and no pun intended, but there’s truly no sweeter place than that.

And earlier, Michael and Tanya shared a gorgeous piano rendition of the chorus on TikTok, saying they knew it was a special song from the moment they sat down to pen it with Zach:

“Y’all… we are so grateful for the love and support on ‘Hey Driver.’ When we wrote this song with Zach, we knew it was special.

This song has become such a gift to us, and we can’t thank you enough.”

If you aren’t overly familiar with The War and Treaty’s music yet, definitely go check them out because they’re two truly great vocalists and harmonize so beautifully together on all of their music.

I could listen to this all damn day:
