Not much basketball to talk about right now.
But lucky for us, Stephen A. Smith has still found plenty to talk about on his program, The Stephen A. Smith Show.
Just recently he was giving out romantic advice when a guy called in asking for suggestions on which movies a couple should watch to “have a successful night.”
And the host didn’t disappoint with his advice – revealing in the process that he’s a BIG Tom Cruise guy.
He’s also recently tackled such important subjects as breastmilk (saying that he’s “never been inclined” to try it but that you don’t have to be a baby to like breasts), and athletes dating adult film stars.
And now he’s jumping into some political takes.
Well, not really political takes, but a political topic: President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter.
Hunter Biden has become a controversial figure during his father’s administration, with his well-documented issues with drug addiction and questions surrounding his father’s role in Hunter’s business career.
Just yesterday, Hunter was set to plead guilty to federal charges of tax fraud and accept a diversion program on a gun charge when the judge abruptly refused to accept the plea deal and decided to consider whether Hunter received special treatment as the son of the President of the United States.
And on his show, Stephen A. Smith had some thoughts on the First Son:
“The son of President Joe Biden, who is a former crack addict – let’s just call it what it is. Yes, he was on crack. I said it that way about Lamar Odom, I can say it that way about the son of the President of the United States. He was on crack.”
He also talked about the recent discovery of a bag of cocaine in the White House, seemingly mocking the idea that we don’t know who it belonged to:
“They recently found cocaine in the White House, by the way. No evidence that it was his.
Although in all the years I’ve been alive I’ve not heard of cocaine being in the White House. This is the first time.
But who’s casting guilt. We don’t know.”
There might not be much basketball to talk about, but luckily for us, Stephen A. still has plenty to say – and he’s not afraid to say it.
