After a long wait, we now know that the beloved show Hard Knocks will be coming to the New York Jets.

Only four NFL teams were eligible for this year’s show, and nobody wanted to do it, so the Jets were the ones who were picked. Despite head coach Robert Saleh admitting that they didn’t want the distraction this season, Aaron Rodgers agreeing, the NFL made the call (which they can do).

Nevertheless, it’s shaping up to be a good one, considering Aaron Rodgers is coming to New York to play quarterback, with former first round pick Zach Wilson riding the pine pony.

On top of that, the team has a number of stellar players and great personalities, such as Breece Hall, Garrett Wilson, Sauce Gardner, and more.

So, I must admit that I’m looking forward to this season of Hard Knocks.

But one person who isn’t necessarily thrilled about the show coming to New York?

Aaron Rodgers himself.

Rodgers is currently competing in the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament, and took some time away from the links to discuss Hard Knocks with KPIX.

He said:

“They forced it down our throats and we have to deal with it. I understand the appeal with us. Obviously, there are a lot of eyes on me, a lot of eyes on our team, a lot of expectations for our squad.”

However, he is excited about the narration from Liev Schreiber, and hopes he can meet him at some point:

“One of the only things I like about ‘Hard Knocks’ is the voice of God, the man who narrates it, Liev. I hope I get to meet him.”

So, don’t expect Rodgers to be doing backflips and cartwheels when the next season comes out.
