Two of Kentucky’s finest.

Carly Pearce and Chris Stapleton teamed up for a new song called “We Don’t Fight Anymore,” which is Carly’s first new release from outside of her 2021 29: Written In Stone album in quite a while now.

It’s safe to say, she’s officially turning the page to a new era with new music, and she couldn’t have found a better duet partner to kick it off with, that’s for sure.

The song was written by Carly along with frequent collaborator Shane McAnally and Pete Good, and is also her debut as a co-producer, as it was produced by McAnally, Josh Osborne, and Pearce.

The subject matter focuses on the complexities of a relationship and navigating through tough times, and whether you stick it out and stay together or not, how hard and confusing that can be.

Carly says it was of course a “dream come true” to get her fellow Kentuckian Chris to feature on the record:

“This song embodies a place that I think, if we are honest with ourselves, we’ve all felt at some point in a relationship.

The distance that feels heartbreaking, yet you’re also indifferent. I’ve always been a writer who never wanted to shy away from the ‘uncomfortable’ moments in all of our lives, and this song feels too important not to share.

Having Chris Stapleton join me on this song was a dream come true and he unlocked an element to the story that I didn’t even know it needed.”

She added that she’s “never been more proud” of a song:

“I hope this song meets you wherever you are on your journey. Whether that’s in the middle of needing to call it quits, remembering someone from the past or deciding you want to work it out.

I’ve never been more proud of a song. ‘We Don’t Fight Anymore’ ft. Chris Stapleton out everywhere now.”

Carly won her won very first Grammy award back in February in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category for her #1 hit with Ashley McBryde “Never Wanted To Be That Girl.”

We’ll see what else Carly has up her sleeve, but this song is officially her next single at country radio, so stay tuned for more likely coming very soon.

And of course, the reason why you’re here, you can listen to “We Don’t Fight Anymore” with Chris Stapleton below.

I have to say, I do wish Chris’ voice would’ve been featured more prominently, because their harmonies sound great and their voices really do blend so well together.

Needless to say, I hope this isn’t the last we hear of them as a duo…
