Guy In Bud Light Can Costume Ironically Arrested For Driving Under The Influence

Bud Light guy

Bud Light can’t seem to catch a break these days.

Life sometimes has a natural way of delivering beautiful poetry. This arrested driver probably wouldn’t agree, but everyone else that sees this story can’t help but laugh at the poetic justice of this incident.

And before I get to the meat of the story, all I will say is this: if you are wearing a Bud Light costume, the one thing you do not want to get caught doing is driving drunk.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department in Kansas got a call from a concerned driver on the road that another driver’s vehicle was swerving a bit.

Fearing that the car might be driven by someone under the influence, the good Samaritan (or snitch, whichever you prefer) gave the police a tip. Deputies sent cars out in the direction of the report and eventually tracked down the vehicle. They pulled the car over, and after asking a couple of questions, asked for the driver to step out of the vehicle.

That is when something happened that not even the greatest comedy writer could think of: the person exited the vehicle wearing a Bud Light Can costume.

Let me remind you that this happened on May 5th, so though you could maybe make a case (accidental beer joke?) for it being Cinco de Mayo, it is many months away from Halloween.

After going through some sobriety tests, it turns out that the Bud Light Can wearing driver was under the influence of alcohol. Thus, the fan of Bud Light was brought into custody under some ironic circumstances.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department released a picture of the hilarious arrest along with this caption:

“A career in law enforcement is exciting, and you get to experience something new every day. Sometimes you see things you can’t believe!

Yesterday, our deputies were notified of a possible intoxicated driver traveling northbound on Interstate 35. The vehicle was located and eventually pulled over.

Deputies were surprised to see that the driver was wearing a beer can costume. Yes, you read that correctly.

The driver was eventually placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and transported to the Franklin County Jail. As always, suspects are innocent until proven guilty.”

How about that?

Of course, under no circumstance should you ever drink and drive, but you especially should not if you are wearing a beer can as a costume. They might as well have been flying a Bud Light flag off the back of their car as well, or painted “I’m drunk” on the back windshield.

The comments below the Facebook post were pure comedy by the way:

“Is that considered an open container?”

“Is he trying to get shot by Kid Rock?”

“Is it really under the influence if he IS the influencer?”

“When you think you’ve seen it all…”

You can’t make this up…
