Gabe Lee Announces New Album, ‘Drink The River’

Gabe Lee country music

Gabe Lee has a new record on the way.

He just announced a new project titled Drink The River will be out everywhere on July 14th, the follow-up to his 2022 The Hometown Kid album.

Gabe says that the concept of this new album focuses on the shared human experience, and all the stories that come from the highs and lows of life and all of the messy in-between:

“‘Drink the River’ is about our shared human experience. Comprising stories collected from work, family, travels, and the miles in between.

This record draws upon the heart of human emotions – both joy and sorrow – seeking to explore the common ground between the communities of music I’ve been welcomed into and beyond.

From humorous backwoods country justice to bittersweet reminders of our mortality, this record invites lovers of storytelling to drink from the river of shared human experience through which all our collective story’s flow.

And to remind listeners that even on a big planet we live in a small world.”

If you’re unfamiliar with Gabe, he’s a Nashville native with an incredible knack for songwriting and ability to deliver stories with authenticity and honesty, staying true to his country roots in Music City.

He also added that this album will be even more stripped-back than his previous work, as he leans into the bluegrass element of his sound that has existed in some form or fashion in all of his music.

Definitely mark this one on the calendar, I think we’re in for something really special.

The lead single, “Even Jesus Got The Blues,” will be out everywhere this Friday.
