Python Tries To Eat A Mongoose & Ends Up Getting Mauled By The Whole Family

Python attacks mongoose
@av.kotze

Nature never ceases to amaze.

It’s an “only the strong survive” world out there and sometimes these creatures need to work together to make it.

Pythons are a family of large, non-venomous snakes that are known for their size, strength and their ability to swallow prey whole. Pythons come in a range of sizes, with some species growing up to 30 feet long and weighing as much as 550 pounds. They are constrictors, meaning they kill their prey by squeezing them until they suffocate.

They primarily feed on rodents, birds, and other small mammals, but they have been known to attack and consume larger animals, including deer, gators and wild pigs.

Mongoose are known for their agility and speed, making them a formidable opponent for pythons. However, when a python is hungry and encounters a mongoose, it can be a deadly encounter for the smaller mammal.

Mongoose have been known to band together with their family members to attack and defend themselves against pythons. These coordinated attacks can be successful in driving off or even killing the python, although they can be dangerous for the mongoose as well.

This python came across a mongoose and decided it was going to have a meal. But, the mongoose had a large family nearby that had other plans. With a “you mess with one, you got us all” kind of mentality, this mongoose had the whole family launch a full scale attack on the python.

This large snake is seen coated in a family of mongoose that are attacking in defense as they squeal away. You can even see the mongoose crew ripping the scales from the body of the snake in a fury of bites.

That is insane… strength in numbers will work wonders out in the wild.

Burmese Python Swallows A Whole Alligator

If this doesn’t make you afraid of pythons, I don’t know what will.

There’s a lot of animals out there, all are very interesting, there are many that I definitely don’t want close encounters with, then there’s the python.

I would go to great lengths to avoid one of these beasts. They literally squeeze the life out of their prey, wrapping their long armless body around animals and increase the pressure until they suffocate.

These massive snakes average between 6 and 9 feet in Florida, but can grow much longer, especially around the world. One in Florida was recorded at a whopping 18-foot and 215-pounds, the largest ever in the state.

Pythons are not natural in Florida, however. They are considered invasive, meaning they out-compete naturally occurring species. They are such a large problem that they have actually killed a ton of wildlife in the areas they reside, and have no natural predators.

And in the Everglades, where you can find them now, they have built quite the population.

They will eat nearly anything, much like a gator. Except inside of having a hard bite, they have the ability to displace their jaw and fit their whole mouth around their kill.

Watching this happen is almost unbelievable.

This python shows us how dangerous they are as he squeezes the life out of an alligator in Florida.

The gator is not particularly large, but it is still a gator.

The snake then proceeds to swallow the gator whole.

When I think of eating an animal whole, not that I would ever do it, I would guess an alligator would be tough to do so with its tough skin. Something with fur might be a little bit easier going down.

This snake is hungry though and couldn’t care less… this meal will hold it over for quite some time.

It displaces its mouth and fits it around the whole alligator, eventually getting the whole thing inside of itself. The crazy thing is, it does it with ease.

I’ll be the first to say, gator tastes pretty good, but this is downright crazy.

Cole Hauser On Rip’s Bad*ss Rattlesnake Scene: “I F*cking Love That”

Rip Wheeler is one bad mf’er.

The big cliffhanger at the end of Season 3 was the attack on the Dutton family and the Dutton Ranch. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) got shot up, Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) got blown up, Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) got shot at, and masked assailants stormed the Dutton Ranch while Jimmy’s dumb ass was laying face down in the dirt (he fell off a horse).

Even Jimmy who has a long road to recovery, but it sounds like he’s gonna be earning John’s trust again down in Texas (AKA spinoff series).

You know who didn’t make it out alive?

Well, that was the biggest moment, and definitely the most shocking scene, of the entire two and a half hour premiere.

Thanks to Rip and his lunch box rattlesnake, the most badass method of murder someone by the way, Roarke Morris got his ass got.

And Cole Hauser, who plays Rip on the show, fucking LOVED it.

“Rip is one of those get it done kind of guys… and Josh did a great job of dying… I fucking love that.”

Me too Rip, me too…
