That’s a trained assassin right there and you are literally poking the bear… or mountain lion.
Mountain lions, also known as cougars, are one of the most elusive and powerful predators in the world. They are a large and muscular animal, with adult males weighing up to 150 pounds and measuring up to 8 feet in length from nose to tail. Females are slightly smaller, weighing between 75 and 100 pounds and measuring up to 7 feet in length. They have a tan or light brown coat and a long, slender body with a powerful jaw and sharp teeth.
Powerful hunters, they can take down prey that is much larger than themselves. They are ambush predators, stalking their prey quietly and patiently until they are close enough to attack. They are known for their speed and agility, able to run up to 50 miles per hour and leap over 20 feet in a single bound.
Mountain lions typically hunt deer, but they are opportunistic and will prey on smaller animals such as rabbits, rodents, and even domestic pets.
You’ll generally find them to be shy and looking to avoid human contact, but they have been known to attack humans on occasion. Attacks on humans are rare, but they do happen if the lion is feeling threatened or in need of food.
This lion is seen laying in the middle of a road.
Clearly, it is either overwhelmed or injured from the weird way it is acting just laying in the middle of a busy road.
And a woman is seen approaching this massive killer cat with a broom in hand.
This is no barn kitty… this is a real killer and not one that you should ever try to sweep away.
This woman doesn’t care though. She get’s right up to the cougar and goes in to push it off the road with a broom, and then, turns her BACK ON IT. Hello, are you trying to get mauled?
This lady is braver… I mean, stupider, than I would be in this situation. Granted, this danger kitty is probably injured, maybe even hit by a car on the road, but still… you don’t want none of that smoke.
Crazy stuff out there, be careful these are wild animals.
