Now this is the duo we NEED…

The always-inspiring Lainey Wilson stopped by Theo Von’s This Past Weekend podcast this week, where she dove into some of her early days in Nashville, her life growing up in Louisiana, of course her mega viral, incredible booty, and so much more.

She’s such a genuine down to earth girl, and she deserves all of the success she’s seeing right now and then some… you won’t find a harder working artist in Music City, that’s for sure.

Lainey’s actually a regular character on the hit series Yellowstone now too playing Abby, and she put out a great record in Bell Bottom Country last year as well, so she’s gotten to work with some really cool people lately, and of course, some really cool people want to work with her now, too.

And that led them to discuss a collab she’s been working on with Lukas Nelson, son of the great Willie Nelson and an incredible artist in his own right.

Theo asked her about him, and Lainey confirmed they’ve written together recently:

“Yep, Willie Nelson’s son. I actually have not met Lukas in person yet.”

She added that they actually had to do it all over FaceTime, because Lukas lives in Hawaii half of the year, and said he’s awesome to work with and “doesn’t even know how cool he is”:

“We did a collab together, he lives in Hawaii half of the year, he lives out there and we FaceTimed and got it done.

I mean, he’s such a cool dude. And he doesn’t even know how cool he is… he’s that kinda cool. That’s the best kind of cool.”

I don’t really know what this means, or if we’ll ever even get to hear the song (or songs) they penned, but I can only imagine whatever it is will be top tier.

They’re truly two of my favorite artists, both with very unique styles and perspectives, so I can only hope we get to hear whatever it is one day.

They’re the duo I think I’ve always needed in my life…

And in true Lainey fashion on this Valentine’s Day, she shared a little bit of encouragement on Instagram for anyone needed a little love today, in the form of her song “Atta Girl,” which is one of the best on the tracklist from her recent aforementioned album:

“This one goes out to any of y’all that need a little encouragement this #ValentinesDay.

Go on and get em now…atta girl. #attagirl #valentinesday #breakupsongs #countrymusic #bellbottomcountry #slowjams : @aubreywisephoto.”
