Tom Brady Tried To Make A Slide Tackle On Dallas Cowboys Safety Malik Hooker

Tom Brady

I’ll go ahead and clear this up right away… I am not a Tom Brady hater.

You know, you still have that crowd out there who says:

“Oh, Brady only won seven Super Bowls because he was surrounded by great athletes on offense and was carried by great defenses… and it was all Belichick.”

I couldn’t care less. The guy is one of the greatest competitors and leaders the NFL world has ever seen, and he still had to make the throws when it mattered most, and he got the job done nearly every time he stepped foot on the field.

Also, how is ol’ Bill and the Patriots doing since Brady left?

But, with that being said, I couldn’t help but notice how the guy turned into an absolute prima donna over the course of this season, b*tchin’ and whinin’ every time a call didn’t go his way.

Not to mention, the guy was also begging for a roughing the passer penalty every time he was sacked or touched by a defender, and even had a few game changing roughing the passer calls go his way.

There were numerous examples this past season of Brady trying to get the king treatment, and even had himself a few dirty plays as well.

And last night?

The guy was at it again, and I can’t defend this one.

In the NFC Wild Card game last night, Dallas Cowboys safety Malik Hooker was returning a recovered fumble (the Bucs’ player was eventually ruled down before he fumbled the ball, so the return didn’t matter anyways).

It was obvious that Hooker was about to get tackled, but all of a sudden, Brady decides to throw out his foot and “slide tackle” like he’s a soccer player. Spikes up too…

Give him a red card…

This is a dangerous play, because we’ve seen a number of football players tear their ACL because somebody tripped them up on the field.

And c’mon, Brady has been in the league for 23 years. He knows this better than anybody.

Needless to say, it looked like an incredibly dirty play, and Brady obviously looked butt hurt that him and his team was getting obliterated in the playoffs by the Cowboys.

The Cowboys ultimately defeated the Buccaneers 31-14, and it may have been Brady’s final NFL game ever, although there has been no official confirmation.
