Moose are a pretty cool animals… when you see them in the woods where they belong from a safe distance.
The truth is, they are actually one of the, if not the most dangerous animals towards humans that roam North America. Their poor eye sight leaves them often confused at what they are looking at and their size allows them to beat the piss out of anything that wants to cross them, or anything they THINK wants to cross them.
They are massive, often times pushing well over 1,000-pounds, and sometimes, even as much as 1,500-pounds. They also have massive paddle antlers that they literally use to fight and rip trees right in two.
Seeing one on a roadway or in town always has potential to lead to some massive issues. If you hit one with a vehicle, 9 times out of 10 the vehicle is done for, and the driver could be injured as well since they tend to be about windshield height. If you see one wandering the streets, which happens from time to time, it is probably agitated, confused, and likely to get aggressive.
The good news in this case, it’s a bull. Even though they’re larger than cows, cows tend to be more aggressive, especially with their young present.
But this is a scene that plays out more like a comedy movie than a nature special.
A bull moose is seen trying through a Wyoming soccer field. Chaos ensues.
Kids are running, screaming and crying all around as parents grab onto them to get them to safety.
