Jack Daniel’s Releases Highest Proof Whiskey Ever – 77% ABV Coy Hill High Proof

Jack Daniel's

Packing a punch.

Jack Daniel’s is back and better than ever, with their brand new, limited edition Jack Daniel’s Small Batch Special Release Coy Hill High Proof.

The new release will be sold in 375ml bottles that are only available in Tennessee, as the whiskey was matured from the highest reaches of Coy Hill, the highest elevation at the Jack Daniel’s Distillery.

The barrels were batched together by profile in order to create the Jack Daniel’s Small Batch Special Release Coy Hill High Proof, featuring five batches at 143.6, 147.3, 149.8, 153.2, and 155.1 proof, which is the highest proof Jack Daniel’s has ever released to the public.

Chris Fletcher, Jack Daniel’s Master Distiller, expressed his excitement for the new release, along with how the whiskey was constructed:

“When we found these barrels in our Coy Hill barrelhouses, we immediately knew we had something special. But due to the very low yield and incredibly high proofs, we had to be creative in how we bottled these last drops.

We batched the barrels to craft unique profiles at five proof points highlighting the characteristics of this special liquid and developed a new higher compression cork specifically designed for this expression.

It’s an exciting time at Jack Daniel’s as we continue to push innovation and experimentation in our whiskey-making while showcasing everything the Jack Daniel Distillery has to offer.”

The new Jack Daniel’s release has the smell of burnt sugar, cooked fruit, and oak along with rich molasses and concentrated barrel spice with bold oak.

The special release is constructed of 80% corn, 12% malted barley, and 8% rye, with ranges spanning from 143.6 to 155.1 proof (71.8%-77.5%).

The 375ml bottles will be available in limited quantities across Tennessee, and at the White Rabbit Bottle Shop at the Jack Daniel Distillery on July 1, with a price of $55.
