Hey, Taco Bell…
Dolly Parton has spoken.
I’ll admit, I have a love-hate relationship with Taco Bell.
On the one hand, it’s absolute garbage, just trash food… but on the other, it’s freakishly delicious and hits the spot like nothing else at two in the morning after you’ve had a dozen beers.
But, because they seemingly have a pack of morons running the place, they dropped a number of items from their menu a while back. The Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes (they brought those back), the Loaded Grillers (which were phenomenal), chips and guacamole, the grilled steak taco, and of course… the fan favorite Mexican Pizza.
Why? Nobody knows…
They might spew some numbers and date at you that says the Mexican Pizza (and the Grillers) don’t sell, but we all know that’s complete bullshit.
The American people want it back…
And much like the rest of us, country music icon Dolly Parton is pissed off too.
In a recent interview with Insider, Dolly called for Taco Bell to bring back the beloved Mexican Pizza.
“I like soft-shell tacos. I like the others, but they fall apart so bad, especially if you’re riding around. So I always get a Taco Supreme, with the sour cream and all that, in the soft shell. I love that.
I get an order of rice and beans… and I get mild sauce. I don’t like to get it too hot and ruin everything.”
Dolly also added that she loves the Mexican Pizza but she wasn’t sure if it was still around.
When the host informed Dolly that it was no longer a menu option, Dolly said they should definitely bring it back.
“I think they should.”
I mean, what else do you need, Taco Bell?
Dolly has donated a zillion books to children, donated money to medical science, is a national treasure, loved by all… as far as I’m concerned, if Dolly wants a Mexican Pizza, Dolly gets a Mexican Pizza.
There has been some rumblings that it could possibly make a return in the spring of 2022, but spare me the “could” and the “possibly.” Just make it happen…
I mean, hell, how about a trade… Dolly can do a Taco Bell commercial (for a discounted price) and you bring back the Mexican Pizza… it’s a win-win.
