There’s An Alcoholic Version Of Taco Bell’s Mountain Dew Baja Blast Coming In February

A green and white can

Sign me the hell up.

There’s absolutely no better fast food drink out there than Taco Bell’s Mountain Dew Baja Blast. I can’t go through the drive-thru for my Crunchwrap Supreme or my Cheesy Gordita Crunch without ordering a delicious Baja Blast to go with it.

And when you’re drunk and you make the Uber take you through Taco Bell on the way home there’s NOTHING that tastes better. It’s science. (Ok it’s not science, but I’ve tested it so many times that it might as well be).

It also happens to be a pretty good mixer too. Just throw in a little vodka (or tequila if it’s Cinco de Mayo) and make yourself a boozy Baja Blast to keep the party rolling. It’s kinda like Four Loko when the caffeine and alcohol hit you at the same time, except it makes you happy instead of making you black out and want to fight some guy named Chad or Kyle.

Well what if you could get a Baja Blast that already had the alcohol in it?

Game. Changer.

Boston Beer Company announced last year that they were partnering with PepsiCo to make a hard seltzer version of Mountain Dew that would come in three different flavors: Original, Black Cherry and Watermelon.

But it turns out they were holding back on us, and there’s actually going to be a fourth flavor: Baja Fuckin’ Blast.

It’s like Christmas came early.

And the internet is pumped.

Well as it turns out, we should have expected the Baja Blast surprise all along: Boston Beer’s CEO David Burwick was Pepsi’s chief marketing officer at the time Baja Blast was created for Taco Bell back in 2004, and was reportedly “instrumental” in bringing the fan-favorite beverage to market.

And let’s be honest: Sure, the original Mountain Dew is fine. But Baja Blast is on a whole other level.  It has such a rabid fanbase that PepsiCo even started releasing it in limited edition runs in grocery stores because of the demand just from selling it in Taco Bell.

I’m not really even a fan of hard seltzers. Never would have even thought about buying Hard Mtn Dew if it were just the three flavors that were first announced.

But you can bet your ass I’m going to be getting me some of this boozy Baja Blast.

Hard Mtn Dew is set to hit the shelves in February, and is a flavored malt beverage, caffeine free with zero sugar added, coming in at 5% ABV.

So if you’re as excited as me for this one, you won’t have to wait much longer.
