Looks like Carrie Underwood isn’t the only country music star unhappy about the COVID-19 protocols in schools.

If you remember back to August, Carrie Underwood liked a tweet opposing mask mandates for children in Nashville-area schools and it set the internet ablaze. John Rich and Craig Morgan came out to defend her, as did many fans, but a number of folks took their outrage to social media to call her an anti-vaxxer, anti-mask, etc…

But now, regarding California Governor Gavin Newsom’s mandatory vaccine mandates for kids to attend school, Jason Aldean was far less subtle.

He took to Instagram to share his outrage:

“So let me get this straight! It is no longer our decisions as parents (or free Americans) to make decisions about our kids, Gavin Newsom makes those decisions for us now?

You gotta be kidding me! People in California should be outraged and people everywhere else better start standing up and speaking out NOW.

This is not how America and being free works.”

And his frustration is shared by a number of fellow country artists, athletes, and more.

Jon Pardi, a California native himself, commented with a heart emoji, Parker McCollum added, “Bout time someone started speaking up,” and NASCAR driver Matt DiBenedetto wrote, “agreed.”

Gavin DeGraw, Brad Arnold of 3 Doors Down, Michael Ray, and more shared their support for the post as well.

When asked how this was different from any of the other vaccines that schools mandate, Jason responded:

“Decades of research versus months. You gotta be smarter than that. Come on!”

Of course, this post comes on the heels of Jason and Brittany Aldean’s public denouncement of President Joe Biden with their “Anti Biden Social Club,” “Impeach 46,” and “Hidin’ From Biden” shirts.

They have been all over the news lately after her anti-Biden t-shirts created a firestorm in the comments section of their respective Instagram accounts. And then when the kids were featured in “Hidin’ From Biden” shirts, the conversation got even more intense… and a lot more media attention.

But recently, Jason addressed the situation, saying that he refuses to apologize for his beliefs:

“I will never apologize for my beliefs or my love for my family and country.

This is the greatest country in the world and I want to keep it that way.”

And in light of this new post about vaccine mandates, it appears as though he is doubling down.
