(Yes, that Sam Elliott cover photo is from a Doritos commercial).

Paramount Network just announced this afternoon that the Dutton family would be returning to our television screens for the premiere of Season 4 this coming November. And not only will it be premiering on November 7th, it’s kicking things off with TWO episodes back to back.

Sunday November 7th also happens to be the NASCAR Cup Series Championship (not to mention the NFL will be underway) so we’re talking about an absolutely fantastic day of television. Fire up the smoker, grab yourself a cold case of Coors Banquet and park your ass in front of the couch… we’re gonna be celebrating.

But not only is Yellowstone back, the prequel series starring Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill is set to premiere this fall as well.

Titled 1883, the prequel series tells the origin story of the Dutton family and how they made their way from Texas across the treacherous Great Plains to settle on the modern day Dutton Ranch property.

Tim and Faith are set to play James and Margaret Dutton, the patriarch and matriarch of the Dutton family, while Elliott will take on the role of Shea Brennan, the hardnosed cowboy tasked with leading the expedition. Additional cast members are expected to be announced soon.

And announced today as well, 1883 will premiere on December 19th on the Paramount+ streaming service.

We have yet to see another teaser for 1883 aside from the one that aired during the Super Bowl earlier this year:

“I don’t care if you live or die, but should you live, you tell ’em about me.”

GET READY.
