Morgan Wade Inks Record Deal With Sony Nashville

Morgan Wade went and got herself a record deal.

After the release of her phenomenal album, Reckless, earlier this year, she managed to secure herself a publishing deal with Universal Music in June. And just today, she announced her first record deal with Arista Nashville (an entity of the massive Nashville label, Sony).

Morgan got her start independently, and has managed to grow her fanbase through a grassroots effort playing shows all over the country.

The Virginia native is one of the most talented young stars in the business, and with this new deal in place, I have a feeling it’s only the beginning for her.

Her first official single at country radio will be the fan-favorite track “Wilder Days,” and will go for playlist adds this fall.

Of course, when an artist makes the jump from being independent to signing with a major label, there’s always the worry that they might lose creative control or have to water down their music in order to increase their chance at getting radio play.

Morgan’s not worried about that one bit:

“There always a bit of reserve when going to a major label from an independent one… there’s worry that your creativity will be stripped away. I don’t feel that at all with Sony.

If anything, I’m more inspired than ever. Sony and Arista see my vision and want to work hard with me to share that vision. I feel at home.”

Morgan will join Brad Paisley, Matt Stell, Ryan Hurd and more on the Arista Nashville label, as well as Miranda Lambert and Luke Combs in the Sont family. Personally, I couldn’t be more excited to see where this new deal will take her. You’re gonna want to go ahead and hop on the Morgan Wade bandwagon now.

She also got a pretty sweet signing gift…
