There’s something different about Carrie Underwood singing Christmas music.
Maybe it’s because everybody is in a great mood during the holidays, or it’s just the fact that Underwood can sing the instructions off of a car manual and still make it sound gorgeous.
Probably both.
Last year, she released her number one selling Christmas album, My Gift, back in September of last year, and now, she’s revving it up a bit as she gears up to release My Gift (Special Edition) nearly a year later.
The album drops September 24th on CD/digital, and on vinyl on November 5th.
The album reached number one on the Billboards Country chart, the UK and Canadian Country album charts, and even had an 11-week stint at the top of the Christian album chart.
The album contains a stellar combination of traditional and original Christmas songs, as two of them were written by Underwood and Brett James, who also wrote “Jesus Take the Wheel,” and her Cry Pretty producer David Garcia.
The Special Edition album contains three new tracks, with “Favorite Time Of Year,” “All Is Well,” and “Let There Be Peace/Something In The Water.”
