It’s hard to name a country singer in their prime that was better than the one and only, Randy Travis.

I mean, the man knew how to touch all of the feelings with his music. From humorous heartbreakers like “Diggin’ Up Bones,” to deep songs like “Three Wooden Crosses,” and “On the Other Hand,” and catchy love ballads like “Deeper Than the Holler,” and “Forever and Ever, Amen,” Randy Travis could do it all.

Don’t even get me started on that voice… one of the best country music has ever seen.

And it’s also a big day for the man, he turned 62 today.

His decorated career brought him six Grammy’s, nine ACM awards, 10 AMA awards, and five CMA awards, and his songs have made an impact on anybody who follows country music. Whoever your favorite country singer is right now, chances (if they’re any good) are they were influenced by Randy Travis

As we all know, he suffered a horrific stroke back in 2013, and he’s had a long road to recovery after almost completely losing his ability to talk/sing.

However, there’s been multiple heartfelt moments along his tough journey, including him singing the last line of “Forever and Ever, Amen” at his tribute at the CMAs back in 2016, while also getting inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

And he’s even been keeping up with the times, as he’s recently been featured in multiple TikToks:

It’s great to see that the man is in good spirits, and is doing well for himself, considering the tough road he’s had for the past eight years.

So here’s to the great Randy Travis, and a big Happy Birthday to a man who has forever etched his name in country music history.
