Lady Gaga Mocks “Rednecks” With Joe Biden Endorsement Video, Twitter Goes Off

Lady Gaga is hitting the campaign trail in Pennsylvania today, joining Presidential nominee Joe Biden just one day before the election.

On Saturday however, Gaga shared a video to Twitter with her official endorsement of Joe, although her “I’m voting for America” approach seemed to fall pretty flat with the Twittersphere.

Posted up next to a pickup truck, wearing all camo (and some weird boots), Lady Gaga encouraged fans in swing states to vote for Joe while drinking a beer (and by drinking, I mean taking one sip and throwing the rest on the ground). Definitely not, how rednecks do it.

“Hey. This is Lady Gaga. I’m voting for America, which means I’m voting for Joe Biden. And if you live in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Florida, or Arizona, I encourage you to vote. And if you have a friend that lives there, tell them to vote. I’m gonna be in one of these states tomorrow. Guess which one I’ll be in? Hint: I used to live there. Cheers to the 2020 election.”

And while some called it an appeal to Conservatives, many saw it as a mockery the rural voters of Middle America. A corny caricature of country folks.

And even people that were admittedly fans of Gaga didn’t understand the angle.

It’s gonna be a long week, isn’t it?
