Running it back.
This morning, Parker McCollum and Koe Wetzel announced a 2026 edition of their Naughty or Nice Tour, which finds them stripping down their usual high-production shows and sitting down with their acoustic guitars, as they take turns playing biggest hits, sharing the stories behind the music and telling story just in time for the holidays.
It was a tradition they did for three consecutive years from2017 to 2019, but of course they both got busy with their respective individual careers and the success they’ve found in the years since. The duo has recorded just one song together, “Love,” and they’re easily two of the most successful artists to have come out of the Texas music scene in a long time.
The pair debuted around the same time, with McCollum releasing The Limestone Kid in 2015, while Wetzel released his debut album, Noise Complaint, just a year later in 2016. Wetzel’s Noise Complaint included “Love,” and considering they’re also close friends off the stage, it just makes sense for them to be teaming up once again.
Koe shared a teaser ahead of the announcement yesterday, where we see them riding around in a golf cart talking about their friendship:
The Naughty or Nice Tour includes five-date co-headlining jaunt across Texas this December, marking the first time they’ve done this holiday your in seven years. It comes on the heels of both Wetzel and McCollum headlining their own arena tours throughout 2026. It will kick off on December 2nd at Floore’s Country Store in Helotes, Texas, and will hit Houston, Corpus Christi and Round Rock before wrapping December 10 at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth. Jackson Wendell and Logan Jahnke will be the openers.
Koe says it’s “a long time coming,” and it just felt right for them to end the year in Texas:
“It’s been a long time coming for us to run it back with this tour. It felt right to end the year in Texas and make it a party.”
Parker added that they’ve both come a long way since the first edition they did in 2017, and it’s really special for them to get to do it again:
“Koe and I did this tour for the first time way back in 2017 when we were still just some kids with a dream. Proud to say we’ve both come a long way since then, and getting to bring this back after some years off is really special.
Looking forward to us both being back in Texas again, and I’ll do my best to keep Koe from gettin’ too rowdy.”
Koe put out two Christmas EP’s in 2023 and 2024, Koe Wetzel Presents… Wetzel’s Wonderland and Koe Wetzel Presents… Wetzel’s Wonderland Chapter 2, which includes covers of Christmas classics. Parker McCollum put out a rendition of “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town” last year, so I’m sure fans will hear plenty of songs from those projects on this run.
The two of them have slowed down a lot since the first few years they did this tour, they’re both dad’s now and not quite as wild as they used to be, but I have no doubt they will be some very fun and festive shows, and tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, October 9 at 10 a.m. CT.
The Naughty or Nice Tour Dates:
December 2 — Helotes, TX — Floore’s Country Store
December 3 — Houston, TX — 713 Music Hall
December 4 — Corpus Christi, TX — Concrete Street Amphitheater
December 5 — Round Rock, TX — Round Rock Amp
December 10 — Fort Worth, TX — Billy Bob’s Texas
Speaking of Koe and Parker teaming up again, earlier this year in an interview with Road Dog Texas after Wetzel’s weekend celebrating the 10-year anniversary of his infamous February 28, 2016, arrest, the pair revealed that they’ve finally been in the studio together working on a new song.
After being asked if we’re ever going to see another Parker-Koe collab again, the “Hell of a Year” singer would let the cat out of the bag immediately. Wasting no time, he’d reveal that they spent an entire day in the studio back in January, noting they spent the entire day writing and recording.
“I really want to be honest about it. We were in the studio together about four weeks ago. We spent a whole day in the studio writing and recording.”
Koe would chime in, confirming they got a song out of the session before joking that they need to outdo “Love” if they want to officially release the track.
“We got a song out of it, but we need to outdo ‘Love.’”
Seemingly confirming it will eventually be released, Koe would simply say:
“We gotta run it back.”
McCollum would share a similar sentiment, noting how he thinks they still have a lot left in the tank.
“I think he’s right. I think there’s a lot left in that tank, too.”
So far, there’s been on further word on if we might ever get to hear it, but I can only hope it will get released eventually. Stay tuned…
“Love”
