The Chief is heading down under.
Arguably the most influential country artist of the 21st century, the Chief has a long history of delivering some of the most captivating work in the genre since his debut in 2006. From his experimental new release, Evangeline vs. The Machine, to his magnum opus, Mr. Misunderstood, in 2015, Church has proven time and time again that there truly isn’t anyone who can match him, especially in the mainstream.
2026 has been another successful year for the “Springsteen” singer. Early in the year, he wrapped up his killer Free the Machine Tour, which featured an all-star cast of rising stars, consisting of the likes of Ella Langley, Kashus Culpepper, Stephen Wilson Jr. Caylee Hammack and more. In tandem with the tour, he’d also release his first feature-length concert film, Evangeline vs. The Machine Comes Alive, into theaters on Valentine’s Day weekend.
Couple that with a highly successful summer that consisted of a viral commencement speech at University of North Carolina, an incredible three-night run at Red Rocks in July, being a driving force that secured Nashville to host the 2030 Super Bowl and a Lifting Lives award at the 19th ACM Honors for his massive effort in the wake of the Hurricane Helene, Church has been on an absolute tear beyond the stage and studio.
The past month, in particular, has been huge for the North Carolina native. After releasing his first new track of the year, “On The Road,” to begin September, just a week later, he was confirmed as the primary support for Kenny Chesney’s massive 2027 stadium tour, Original Vibe Room — something which Chesney himself says he owes him “big time” for.
Though the Chesney tour will take up a big chunk of Church’s time in 2027, with shows stretching from April to August, he went ahead and announced a set of three shows that will mark a first in his storied career.
Announced this morning, Church will be headlining his first-ever shows down under in Australia in March with Parker McCollum. These dates will include two headlining shows in Melbourne on March 13th at Rod Laver Arena and Sydney on March 16th at Afterplay Arena, as well as a headlining set at CMC Rocks in Queensland on March 20th.
In a statement, Church would acknowledge how long the wait has been for Australian fans, noting how excited he is to make up for lost time.
“Australia, we heard you, and we’re on our way. It’s been a long time coming, and we’re damn excited to finally bring this show to you. We’re gonna pack as much as we can into these nights, so come early, stay late and let’s make up for lost time.”
For the aforementioned solo shows with McCollum in Melbourne and Sydney, premium members of his fan club, the Church Choir, will have first access to tickets beginning on Wednesday, September 30th at 11 a.m. local venue time. General sale, on the other hand, will be available to the public a day later on Thursday, October 1st at 12 p.m. local venue time.
Finally, CMC Rocks Festival passes, which also includes appearances throughout the weekend from the likes of Brooks & Dunn, Ashley McBryde, Turnpike Troubadours, 49 Winchester, Colby Acuff, Tyler Nance and more, are available now.
