She found her new “Choosin’ Texas” intro… and it’s pretty dang good.
Ella Langley released her hit song “Choosin’ Texas” back in October of last year, and once it caught fire in 2026 (and began collecting “Ella Fellas” from every corner of the world), it has stayed ablaze. It’s not even a stretch to call it one of the biggest country hits of all time.
“Choosin’ Texas” currently holds the record for longest-running No. 1 hit by a female artist this century. Ella’s catchy tune has stayed atop the Billboard Hot 100 for a staggering 17 straight weeks, and is showing no signs of slowing down. It’s an insane, massively successful crossover hit, and Ella is the it girl in all of music right now… as she should be.
And her appeal has more than crossed over into pop culture, as movie star Matthew McConaughey just did a viral bluegrass cover of it on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and The Last Bison, who also had with Matthew McConaughey join them on the mandolin for one of their own songs.
Those who are familiar with McConaughey know that music is one of his passions, and his latest movie, The Rivals of Amziah King, has some bluegrass elements to the storyline. While the Academy Award-winner was there to promote his new film, he and the band, along with Fallon, delivered this cover:
Ella shared her reaction to the cover on her Instagram stories, saying she would never recover from it:
“I don’t think I’ll ever recover from this.”
And she took it a step further while playing shows in Texas at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas as part of her Dandelion Tour, opening her performance of “Choosin’ Texas” with the video from Fallon.
In Texas… she had to do it:

Fans seemed to love it too:
“Jimmy Fallon an Ella fella for real and Matthew McConaughey
“She just said on her live he was her celeb crush… that’s so cute.”
“This is everything!!!”
“She is so precious.”
“Ella’s Fella’s”
“Alright Alright Alright.”
“I would’ve died I love him and this song.”
