Brave Woman Kicks A Mountain Lion In The Ribs To Save Her Goat From Attack

Mountain Lion goat

Thanks to the quick action of this brave woman, a goat lived to see another day after being attacked by an apex predator.

Wild cats are very opportunistic hunters, and are always on the prowl searching for a meal. They’ll go after things as small as squirrels and as large as a deer or elk, and on this day, this particular mountain lion had its sights set on a goat that was being kept in a livestock enclosure.

It’s hard to tell if this is some sort of petting zoo, or if it’s just a farm setup, but the feline didn’t care what it was one bit. The security camera set up in the corner of the building first captured a number of goats fleeing for their lives and running into the building for safety.

One goat was trying to make its way through the door too… but it had a mountain lion trying to drag it down by its neck.

Though the goat was putting up one heck of a fight, it’s clear that it was running out of stamina, and needed some help. As the mountain lion tried to put a finishing move on the prey, the commotion coming from the enclosure alerted a nearby person (presumably the owner of the goats), and she came running in like a super hero.

She quickly saw that her white and black goat was in trouble, and bravely turned the corner into the enclosure and fought back. As she screamed “Get out of here” at the mountain lion, she also banged on the side of the building to try and scare off the attacking predator. That wasn’t working, so she took matters into her own hands… or rather, her own feet.

One swift kick to the mountain lion’s side was all it took for the wild feline to give up on its goat dinner. The animal, also referred to as a puma or cougar, immediately ran away with its ears tucked back. For good measure, the woman chased the big cat out of the enclosure while continuing to scream while the goat that had just been attacked sought refuge in another portion of the barn.

We’re not sure exactly where this video is out of, or what the woman’s name is… but we do know that she rode the line between bravery and stupidity (I lean on the side of bravery) and successfully saved her goat’s life. You can check out the wild, rescue video below:

@fogofunknowns Jun 8, 2026 Security camera footage recorded on June 6, 2026, captures a dramatic moment inside a rural livestock enclosure as a mountain lion enters the area where a domestic goat is kept. The goat moves around the space as the large feline approaches near the gate and wall. A woman quickly enters the frame from the left side. She moves swiftly across the enclosure toward the animals. She reaches the area by the gate where the mountain lion and goat are positioned and kicked the mountain lion away from the goat. The big cat immediately retreats and moves out of the immediate area. The goat then runs across the enclosure to another section. Mountain lions, also known as cougars or pumas, are powerful solitary predators native to parts of the Americas. They occasionally venture into farm areas where livestock is present. #news #viral #CaughtOnCamera #fyp #ViralVideo ♬ original sound – FOU News
