The Ella Fellas don’t mess around.
Ella Langley has absolutely skyrocketed to the top of country music over the last year or so, and more specifically, since late last year when she released her smash hit single “Choosin’ Texas,” which was included on her recent hit sophomore album Dandelion.
It’s been incredible to watch, and she’s gained an entirely new demographic of fans… and much like the ladies love Riley Green and Morgan Wallen, the men have taken a real liking to Ella, officially naming themselves “Ella Fellas.”
It’s harmless fun, and one of them took is as far as to have an “Ella Fella”-themed 30th birthday party, which was thrown by his wife. She shared a now-viral video on TikTok, showing off a cake with a photo from her “Be Her” music video, as well as other Ella-themed decorations. I think it was meant to be light-hearted and fun, but with the internet being the internet and people being people, it’s sparked a huge debate online:

Tons of fans were not into it at all, basically saying they’d be jealous if their husband or boyfriend did something like this. Others defended the party, saying Ella is a celebrity, and it was all in harmless, good fun, and his wife was the one who threw it and came up with a lot of the ideas so there’s nothing to worry about:
“Oh absolutely not.”
“Hmm, yeah no couldn’t be me girl.”
“Knowing if he had a choice, he would pick Ella over you any day.”
“As a non insecure girl, I love this for y’all.”
“But if y’all obsess over Morgan Wallen, Riley Green etc it’s okay. Obviously they were both fine with it. I think it’s fun! It looked like a fun party.”
“Why is having a celebrity crush a bad thing all the sudden.”
“This is weird to me actually.”
“I just honestly believe that having celebrity crushes while in a relationship or married is basically saying you would go for them if you could. The only crush you or your significant other should have is each other. He can like her music but a whole birthday party? This is something I would do when I had a crush on JB when I was 6. Not now when I’m in a relationship. Not insecure, it’s just weird.”
“Never understood being obsessed with celebrities, especially being married and your spouse being cool with it lol.”
“That should’ve been youuu onnn that cake girllllll.”
“Hey so this is concerning.”
“I mean it was cool as like ‘fans’ who like her music but we pushin’ it with this.”
“Mind you the last time I wanted a celebrity themed bday party it was Justin Bieber and I was 12…”
“Am I the only one that thought this WASN’T weird and actually cute… it’s a damn famous person.”
“She’s a celebrity… why’s everyone mad?”
“It’s obvious that she was alright with throwing him that party theme? I’m pretty sure it was mainly her idea lol.”
“Y’all overreacting it’s the same exact thing if she were to have a Morgan Wallen theme party like what.”
“I would be pissed off all day.”
I just feel like there are much bigger things to worry about… personally. The only celebrity-themed birthday party I’d even consider is involving Dolly Parton, and I kind of agree that I haven’t even thought about having a celebrity-themed party probably since I was like 13 and in love with the Jonas Brothers…
