Tough day for anybody else to drop new music.

Morgan Wallen released his highly-anticipated, 37-track album I’m The Problem, today. The fourth studio album from one of the biggest names in country music features collaborations with names like Eric Church, Post Malone, Tate McRae, HARDY and Ernest, and there’s no doubt that it will be the top album of the week and dominate the charts for the foreseeable future.

So it’s no surprise that the album has also dominated the conversation when it comes to new releases today.

It’s always tough for artists when they drop new music on the same day as a major artist like Morgan (or when a guy like Zach Bryan decides to release a surprise album on the same day as his friends drop an album…). It can be tough for newer artists to get attention on their new releases when one album is dominating the headlines and all of the conversation on social media.

But there were some incredible new releases today from artists NOT named Morgan Wallen that shouldn’t get lost in the shuffle. So if Morgan’s new album is not your style, here are 10 new songs that dropped today that you shouldn’t miss:

1. “Carving Of A Dove” – Drayton Farley

2. “The Time Of Your Life” – Kat Hasty

3. “Even If It’s Broke” Brent Cobb & The Fixin’s

4. “God Made” – Bryce Leatherwood

5. “Things I Keep Telling Myself” – Jason Eady

6. “Falling Down” – Kelsey Waldon

7. “Burn Me” – Jonah Kagan & Sam Barber

8. “Drunk At Work” – Reid Haughton

9. “Fishin'” – Justin Clyde Williams

10. “Bad Bad Boys” – Kendell Marvel, Randy Houser, Ashley McBryde & Isaac Gibson

Of course there are plenty more great songs that were released today, so if you haven’t already make sure to follow our New Music Friday playlist on Spotify and Apple Music.

Willow Avalon Teams Up With Charles Wesley Godwin For New Version Of “The Actor”

While it’s not exactly a new song, Willow Avalon also surprised her fans today and re-released “The Actor,” this time enlisting Charles Wesley Godwin for a feature.

The addition of CWG gives the song more depth as he leads “his side of the story” during the second verse. While the song’s original cut makes it seem like the man was the guilty party in the relationship, the version with CWG shines more light on how each partner is guilty of portraying someone they were not.

In CWG’s verse, he shares that the woman he fell in love with could fire off some nasty words, leading to many verbal altercations.

“She was a gorgeous, green-eyed, angel-еyed witch
She’d wake mе up with gentle whispers and lovin’ in bed
But when she finally started dropping the act
We said some words we didn’t mean, my God, it was bad…”

After Avalon and Godwin sing their respective verses, they join forces, creating stunning harmonies during the chorus. Both characters in this tragic love story question how they were played so well, and despite seeing through their partner’s charade, they still can admit they loved the act this person put on.

“‘Cause I was a fool and he was an actor
I never knew it wasn’t my heart he was after
Criminally cool, then sorry actor
I never knew it wasn’t my heart he was after
My love, the actor”

Willow Avalon continues to prove that she will be a household name one day with every release, and Charles Wesley Godwin’s feature on this track takes it to a new level. If you aren’t already tuned into Willow Avalon, now’s the time to listen.

Turn it all the way up.
