Priorities are WAY off here…
Of course, I think we’ve all seen the heartbreaking videos coming out of the Los Angeles area in California, where entire neighborhoods are being wiped off the map as the Palisades and Eaton fires have collectively burned almost 27,000 acres. And the conditions continue to look bleak, as high winds and low humidity in the region foster a perfect environment for the wildfires to spread – and new ones to spark.
The blazing and uncontrollable fires were apparently started in the residential community known as the Pacific Palisades, and they’ve since killed at least five people and have left hundreds of people without a home in the greater Los Angeles area.
Over 130,000 people have been evacuated, and more than 300,000 homes are without power – all while air quality levels have reached hazardous classification. It’s a complete and utter disaster, though the brave firefighters are doing all they can to fight the flames to save buildings, communities, and lives.
It’s feels so hopeless and completely heartbreaking, though there’s at least one person in LA that wants to make sure they look their best while fleeing the city and trying to escape the fire.
A video on TikTok has gone viral, where someone shared that a girl next to them on the highway, who was evacuating and getting away from the fires, doing “full glam” as she drives her car at the same time… while the city is ablaze in the background:
“The city is on fire. I’m hanging out the window while merging onto the 10 to take a video. The girl next to me is doing full glam. We’re all f***ed.”
I mean, it’s just unfathomable… like, what are you doing, girl? First of all, doing that while driving anytime is incredibly dangerous, but especially in these conditions. I’m trying to be sympathetic because I can’t imagine what they’re all going through out there, but this just feels so insane…

The creator of the video, who was in the car next to her on the highway, responded to that comment:
“I laughed at myself hanging out the window. Anything for the content”
Prayers for everyone who is dealing with this horrific situation. It’s completely heartbreaking to witness and I hope that they can start to get these under control as soon as possible.
This is by far the craziest video from the fire in Los Angeles. This guy is filming huge walls of fire surrounding a house they’re in, and there’s another person and a dog.
