Is this worse than the NSFW MLB uniforms?
Football is BACK, and while cheering for your teams (or crying over their performance) is one of the best parts of the season, the NFL season is also kicking off with some Grade-A comical moments.
From Tyreek Hill getting Scottie Scheffler’ed right before the Miami Dolphins season opener to the Kansas City Chiefs mascot banging his head against the goalpost after missing a field goal, the 2024/2025 season has started with a bang.
The New York Giants are not having the season start they were hoping for, falling short on the field against the Minnesota Vikings. However, the conversation surrounding the NFL team is not falling short, as the Giants’ uniform is stirring up opinions on Twitter (now known as X).
The team unveiled new uniforms to commemorate its 100th season. The “Centruy Red” and blue jerseys have a vintage feel and are paired with tan/khaki pants. The team will wear the throwback uniform at least twice this season, but that number might be less after last night’s game.
Whoever approved these did not do an adequate screen test because the players looked pantsless on the field. When photographed up close, it’s clear that the players are wearing pants, and viewers can see the outline of their pads underneath, but far away is a different story. The pants from the overhead camera view blend into the players’ skin, and bare legs appear to be running across the field.
Twitter, the premier platform for no-filtered opinions, was quick to chime in on this uniform’s horrid paint color choice. Hilariously, many users were comparing their lackluster performance to the uniforms. While I doubt there is a correlation there, one can only imagine that some players are embarrassed it looks like their private bits are exposed when watching the film back.
Maybe they will make pants to match the red or blue on the jersey before these uniforms hit the field again.
