It’s no secret that it’s been a rough year for Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals.
Joey B and the Bengals started off the season rather unimpressive, but began to hit their stride midway through. Burrow went down with a wrist injury against the Baltimore Ravens back on November 16th, sidelining him for the rest of the season.
The Bengals have limped to an 8-7 record, and will miss the playoffs for the first time since Burrow’s rookie season in 2020.
Ever since Burrow’s injury, it’s been hard to tell how the star QB is holding up. Although he’s given a few updates in press conferences, the man is borderline nonexistent on social media, so it’s hard to tell how he’s doing from a personal standpoint. Hell, the guy hasn’t been active on X (it was known as Twitter the last time he used it) for over a year…
Until now. You heard that right, folks. The 27-year-old has finally broken his Twitter silence for the first time since November 15th, 2022.
And how did he do so? With this one simple, sort of hilarious, tweet:
“Show me the aliens!”
You’re a little late to the game there, Joey B. The alien nonsense was months ago. I guess the guy got a little bored during recovery, and decided to bust out some social media again.
Check it out:

Joe Burrow Reveals That He’ll “Listen To Just About Anything But Country”
Joey B. is one of the most popular quarterbacks in the NFL, not only for his success on the field but also for his personality and style when he’s not suited up for a game. But unfortunately, Joe gave us some news that broke the hearts of country music fans everywhere.
During an interview, Burrow revealed that he is a music fan….but not a country music fan.
“I’m kind of all over the place. I’ll listen to some indie. I’ll listen to some hip-hop, some pop. I’ll listen to just about anything but country.”
Sad cowboy sigh…

Someone get this boy an IV drip of George Jones STAT.
As much as it pains me to admit I could have seen this coming from the Ames, Iowa native, I had hoped that spending some time down in Baton Rouge could have instilled at least an appreciation of country music in the NFL superstar.
I mean, come on, they play “Callin’ Baton Rouge” in the stadium. How do you not love that song?
After the post went live from SportsLine, people started to chime in on how they felt regarding Burrow’s statement.
Some of the folks agreeing with Burrow have clearly never listened to the Turnpike Troubadours.
